Job purpose: The Director of Capital Investments is responsible for the identification and development of relationships with community partners and foundations who can invest in Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries
Duties and responsibilities:
● Serve as primary strategist with the Mount Pleasant Community Development Corporation in identifying funding agencies and community organizations who can support the ministry.
● Work closely with ministry leaders to understand funding needs, then research organizations that support these needs.
● Creatively develop approaches to pursue funding partnerships.
● Partner with ministry leadership to develop comprehensive proposals for funding with the goal of increasing revenue for the ministry.
● Establish annual investments goals and report at least quarterly on progress towards goals.
● Determine which funders have potential for greater support and develop cultivation and solicitation steps for prospects.
● Develop standard language for the ministry to share with funders.
● This is a highly collaborative position that requires significant coordination, strategy development, phone call and follow-up actions with ministry leadership and CDC engagement/collaboration.

● Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Stewardship will develop and implement a stewardship program that teaches ministry members proper personal financial management and engages them to begin tithing into the ministry.
● Sponsor workshops, courses or seminars on topics such as budgeting, managing personal finances, or financial literacy.
● Submit monthly articles on proper stewardship to the Ministry Update.
● Educate members about the importance of biblical stewardship through tithes and offering.
● Stay abreast of new strategies for money and debt management that align with the ministry’s vision and mission. Benchmark best practices in nonprofit stewardship.
● Continually demonstrate an ability to understand and implement the Word of God and prayer and serve as a model for External Ministries and MPCM as a whole.

Director of Family Ministries Job Description

Job title: Directors of Family Ministries (Two positions for one male and one female, preferably a married couple)

Job purpose: The Directors of Family Ministries are responsible for leading MPCM programs that encompass different adult generations, demographics and statuses, with a focus on developing and growing MPCM members.
Duties and responsibilities:
● Working in partnership with the Chief of Internal Ministries, envisions, develops and implements family-related ministries programs for MPCM and consistent with MPCM’s mission and vision
● Coordinates age- and status-focused ministry programs for seniors, women, men, married and single members.
● Creates annual/monthly activities calendar
● Hosts planning workshop(s) with appropriate ministry leaders
● Leads bimonthly meeting of subordinate ministry leaders to ensure they have what is needed to carry out family ministries programs
● Coordinates logistics scheduling with the Administrative office
● Collaborates with Marketing to advertise upcoming programs in MPCM and in the
surrounding community
● Collaborates with Directors of Facilities and Events Management to ensure ministry requests for room set and culinary support is confirmed and executed.
● Develops Family Ministries operational budget consistent with schedules and guidance provided by the Chief Financial Officer. Executes approved budgets on schedule and within budget.
● Attend all scheduled staff meetings, providing reports of the Family Ministry status, activities, and needs.
● Supports MPCM through tithing a minimum of 10% of annual income as outlined in Genesis 14, Matthew 23:23 and Hebrews 7. Participate in offerings, special giving, and campaigns.
● Sets a good example in the areas of relationships, commitment to Christ, follow-through and responsible living.
● Model, support and defend the MPCM Code of Conduct.

Qualifications: Demonstrated spiritual maturity needed to operate in a manner that glorifies God, supports MPCM, and edifies the body of Christ. A team player who exercises his/her gifts in the fulfillment of vision and mission of MPCM. A collaborator who actively seeks and leverages partnerships with peers and MPCM ministry partners. Job purpose: The Director of Marketing is responsible for the overall execution and management of all marketing for MPCM. This includes overseeing/managing the work performed by the leaders of the Photography, Print Communications, Social Media, and Web ministries who plan/execute any marketing that benefits the Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries.
Duties and responsibilities:
● Responsible for managing all aspects of the marketing department
● Evaluate marketing and update processes on a regular basis.
● Evaluate and negotiate all marketing contracts and budgets.
● Prepare payment requests for all support personnel
● Oversee ministry request from start to finish, using independent judgment to evaluate marketing timelines, advise staff and other departments accordingly and ensure the established budgets are kept.
● Requisition or obtain equipment and supplies needed for each department, ensuring that they meet MPCM expectations and requirements.
● Maintain a Marketing Calendar to determine timelines.
● In advance of the events, hold briefing meetings with each ministry to ensure full understanding, budget expectations, and address questions/concerns, etc.
● Develop and maintain professional relationship with all vendors.
● Create sponsorship plans and execute them, building and establishing sponsors for major church-wide marketing campaigns.
● Keep the Chief of External Operations fully informed on Marketing operations, plans, and activities. Solicit direction, advice and guidance as appropriate
● Lead, guide, direct, support and evaluate the work of the Photography, Print Communications, Social Media, and Web ministries.

Duties and responsibilities:
● Lead in the development and implementation of community-based programs to meet the needs of the community and to support the holistic development of mind, body and spirit
● Develop programs that will:
○ Support and facilitate the development of children, youth and families through sports, recreational and fitness activities
○ Support the development of character, mental health and spiritual health through the provision of support programs and services for children, youth and families
○ Support and enhance educational development of children, youth and families through adult learning, mentoring and after school activities
● Identify, train and supervise MPCDC staff, providing support, encouragement, and development opportunities

Job purpose: The Marriage Ministry Leaders are responsible for developing and implementing programs, events, and initiatives that will strengthen and enhance the marriage relationship spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. The main objective of this ministry is to teach and demonstrate that marriage is more than a license. It is a covenant made with God to strengthen all marriages and assist couples in learning the patterns, skills and the core values for a healthy family life by utilizing the Bible as the foundation and plumb line for this God-ordained institution.

Duties and responsibilities
● Oversee all Marriage Ministry events/activities, ensuring that they are based on biblical principles, are attracting couples of different ages, and are consistent with the needs of engaged/married couples.
● Lead in the development and implementation of the Marriage Ministry’s vision, mission and ministry goals consistent and in alignment with MPCM corporate vision and mission. Ensure that the ministry goals are measurable and that the outcomes can be articulated.
● Recruit, attract, retain, grow and develop the staff necessary to make the ministry’s mission a success. This includes providing leadership that attracts followers.
