Job purpose: The Director of Capital Investments is responsible for the identification and development of relationships with community partners and foundations who can invest in Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries
Duties and responsibilities:
● Serve as primary strategist with the Mount Pleasant Community Development Corporation in identifying funding agencies and community organizations who can support the ministry.
● Work closely with ministry leaders to understand funding needs, then research organizations that support these needs.
● Creatively develop approaches to pursue funding partnerships.
● Partner with ministry leadership to develop comprehensive proposals for funding with the goal of increasing revenue for the ministry.
● Establish annual investments goals and report at least quarterly on progress towards goals.
● Determine which funders have potential for greater support and develop cultivation and solicitation steps for prospects.
● Develop standard language for the ministry to share with funders.
● This is a highly collaborative position that requires significant coordination, strategy development, phone call and follow-up actions with ministry leadership and CDC engagement/collaboration.

● Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Stewardship will develop and implement a stewardship program that teaches ministry members proper personal financial management and engages them to begin tithing into the ministry.
● Sponsor workshops, courses or seminars on topics such as budgeting, managing personal finances, or financial literacy.
● Submit monthly articles on proper stewardship to the Ministry Update.
● Educate members about the importance of biblical stewardship through tithes and offering.
● Stay abreast of new strategies for money and debt management that align with the ministry’s vision and mission. Benchmark best practices in nonprofit stewardship.
● Continually demonstrate an ability to understand and implement the Word of God and prayer and serve as a model for External Ministries and MPCM as a whole.

Leverage the MPCM organization and other ministries in a manner that facilitates and supports children’s ministries.

● Ensure appropriate focus and balance on all college aged adults and demographics by leading in the development of innovative and creative programs to attract and retain these age groups to MPCM broadly, and to participate in the MPCM ministries designed to meet the spiritual needs of the young adults.

● Lead in the development and implementation of the Singles Ministry vision, mission and ministry goals consistent and in alignment with MPCM corporate vision and mission. Ensure that the ministry goals are measurable and that the outcomes can be articulated.
● Recruit, attract, retain, grow and develop Singles Ministry staff necessary to make the ministry mission a success. This includes providing leadership that attracts followers.

● Working in partnership with the Chief of Internal Ministries, envisions, develops and implements family-related ministries programs for MPCM and consistent with MPCM’s mission and vision
● Coordinates age- and status-focused ministry programs for seniors, women, men, married and single members.

● Hosts planning workshop(s) with appropriate ministry leaders

Job purpose: This position provides administrative support to the Chief of External Ministries (CXM), who is responsible for leading efforts that expand MPCM’s spiritual reach outside of the physical confines of the MPCM campus to include Evangelism and Ministry Support. This is a highly visible position and may be the first point of contact for the Chief with all members, visitors and guests.

Duties and responsibilities:
● Serve as first point-of- contact with all constituents by greeting and triaging telephone calls, messages and/or visits.
● Proactively manage the Chief’s calendar, provide prompt responses to meeting requests, and rearranging appointments as necessary to avoid scheduling conflicts.
● Ensure the Chief is prepared for meetings by coordinating, preparing and distributing materials to participants in a timely manner.
● Anticipate the Chief’s needs and collaborate with other administrative staff as needed.
● Appropriately handle highly sensitive information with discretion and tact.
● Prepare travel arrangements upon request.
● Submit travel and business expense reimbursements to the finance office in a timely manner as requested.
● Capture and distribute meeting minutes and follow-on actions.
● Prepare and distribute correspondence upon request.
● Provide general administrative duties such as making copies, sending faxes and filing correspondence.
● Provide assistance with special projects as requested by the Chief.
● Continually demonstrate an ability to understand and implement the Word of God and prayer and serve as a model for External Ministries and MPCM as a whole
● Support MPCM through tithing a minimum of 10% of annual income as outlined in Genesis 14, Matthew 23:23 and Hebrews 7. Participate in offerings, special giving, and campaigns.
● Set a good example in the areas of relationships, commitment to Christ, follow-through and responsible living.
● Model, support and defend the MPCM Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Experience: Demonstrated spiritual maturity needed to operate in a manner that glorifies God, supports MPCM, and edifies the body of Christ. A team player who exercises his/her gifts in the fulfillment of vision and mission of MPCM. This individual is a collaborator who actively seeks and leverages partnerships with peers and MPCM ministry partners. Strong communications skills, both written and oral, organization skills, attention to detail as well as the ability to set priorities, and meet deadlines in a timely fashion are required. Candidate should have an excellent telephone and professional manner, should be polite, friendly and a team player. Responsibilities require significant collaboration and coordination with others.
Experience: Three years administrative experience required. Education may be substituted for required experience. Excellent computer skills required using software such as Microsoft Office suite and database systems.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.

Physical requirements: This position requires someone who can move throughout the ministry campus to deliver materials to meeting locations, and set up for meetings.

Job purpose: The Director of the Mount Pleasant Community Development Corporation (MPCDC) is responsible for developing and implementing programs to support families in and surrounding MPCM.
Duties and responsibilities:
● Lead in the development and implementation of community-based programs to meet the needs of the community and to support the holistic development of mind, body and spirit
● Develop programs that will:
○ Support and facilitate the development of children, youth and families through sports, recreational and fitness activities
○ Support the development of character, mental health and spiritual health through the provision of support programs and services for children, youth and families
○ Support and enhance educational development of children, youth and families through adult learning, mentoring and after school activities
● Identify, train and supervise MPCDC staff, providing support, encouragement, and development opportunities
● Research and make decisions regarding funding opportunities (e.g., grants) to support the mission of the MPCDC
● Partner with the Director of Family Life to further mature and grow the Family Life Center to serve as a hub for MPCDC activities
● Collaborate with Marketing Department to advertise and promote MPCDC programs and activities
● Develop and manage budgets and financial records pertaining to the MPCDC, ensuring that MPCDC is self-sustaining. Manage MPCDC finances in accordance with projected income. Provide quarterly financial reports to the MPCM Chief Financial Officer.
● Keep the Chief of External Operations fully informed on MPCDC plans and activities. Solicit direction, advice and guidance, when appropriate.
● Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with MPCM ministry peers, soliciting their input and partnership to make MPCDC’s activities and programs supported MPCM-wide.
● Continually demonstrate an ability to understand and implement the Word of God and prayer and serve as a model for External Ministries and MPCM as a whole

Education:A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business field, is desired. Commensurate experience will be considered in substitute for a degree.

Job purpose: The Lay Member of the Bishop’s Council serves an active member of the Bishop’s Council, the body which provides strategic direction to ministry leadership in order to advance the mission and vision of MPCM. Bishop’s Council will meet approximately once a month.

Duties and responsibilities:
● Serve as the lay member of the Bishop’s Council for a term of up to one year.
● Attend all Bishop’s Council meetings as a member in good standing, arriving on time and prepared, as needed, to fully participate.
● Offer insights, perspectives, and views on agenda topics and discussions.
● Suggest potential topics for discussion.
● Collaborate with Council members to execute the vision and mission of MPCM.
● Continually demonstrate an ability to understand and implement the Word of God and prayer and serve as a model for MPCM as a whole

Job purpose: The High School Ministry Leader is responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives to meet the needs of youth in high school (grades 9 through 12). He/she ensures that all programs, initiatives and activities align with the vision and mission of MPCM and meet the needs of all age groups, making MPCM a place where high school aged youth feel safe, are embraced and encouraged as vital members of MPCM.

Duties and responsibilities
● Oversee the all High School Ministry activities, ensuring that they are based on biblical principles, are age-appropriate, and are consistent with the needs of high school aged youth. Leverage the MPCM organization and other ministries in a manner that facilitates and supports children’s ministries.
● Develop, staff and operate Sunday spiritual gatherings for the High School youth.
● Lead the staff of the High School Ministry, providing clear and consistent guidance, direction, support, encouragement, and correction as needed, all based on biblical principles.
● Ensure appropriate focus and balance on all High School age groups and demographics by leading in the development of innovative and creative programs to attract and retain these age groups to MPCM broadly, and to participate in the age-appropriate ministries to meet the spiritual needs of the young people. As appropriate, involve parents in High School activities.
● Lead in the development and implementation of the High School vision, mission and ministry goals consistent and in alignment with MPCM corporate vision and mission. Ensure that the High School Ministry goals are measurable and that the outcomes can be articulated.
● Develop and submit the High School Ministry operational budget on time and consistent with schedules and guidance provided by the Chief Financial Officer.
● Communicate, in both verbal and written form, expectations to High School Ministry staff to ensure they are fully informed regarding performance goals as well as MPCM operational and code of conduct standards.
● Identify and facilitate training opportunities for High School Ministry staff to enhance ministry awareness for growth and development.
● Lead in developing and fostering High School Ministry staff capabilities needed to successfully enter into partnerships with internal and external entities and conduct ministry activities.
● Recruit, attract, retain, grow and develop High School Ministry staff necessary to make the High School Ministry mission a success. This includes providing leadership vision and leadership that attracts followers.
● Keep the Director of Millennials Plus fully informed on High School Ministry plans and activities. Solicit direction, advice and guidance, when appropriate.
● Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with ministry peers, particularly those under Millennials Plus, soliciting their input and partnership to ensure smooth transition of youth from one ministry to another as they progress in age and grade.
● Hold the staff of the High School Ministry responsible and accountable for carrying out all aspects of their respective ministry roles. Enable their success by setting strategic direction and empowering them to independently deliver on their goals.
● Continually demonstrate an ability to understand and implement the Word of God and prayer and serve as a model for the High School Ministry and MPCM as a whole
● Support MPCM through tithing a minimum of 10% of annual income as outlined in Genesis 14, Matthew 23:23 and Hebrews 7. Participate in offerings, special giving, and campaigns.

Experience:  A minimum of 2 years experience in leading a church youth/young adult ministry and serving as a member of a church leadership team. A minimum of 3 years experience in leading people and/or ninitiatives, preferably in a religious or non-profit organization.
Education: A four (4) year college degree is desired but not required. Commensurate experience can substitute for education.
Licensures/ Certifications: None required.

Direct reports: Staff supporting the High School Ministry.
Independent decision making: The Leader of the High School Ministry will make decisions commensurate with standard operating procedures and decision authorities that will be developed and documented collaboratively with the MPCM leadership team.
